Practical support

Helping with the tasks that make everyday life work.

Our enabling services are all about supporting people to manage their everyday tasks whilst maintaining as much independence as possible. We do things with people, not just for them, building confidence along the way.

This can be combined with personal care or companionship visits, or provided as a stand-alone service depending on what is needed.

Why enabling support matters

Small amounts of practical help can make a big difference to confidence and wellbeing.

1

Maintaining independence

Support is focused on helping people to continue doing as much as possible for themselves, with a little assistance where needed.

2

Reducing risks

Help with tasks that may have become difficult or unsafe reduces the risk of accidents, missed appointments or poor nutrition.

3

Improving wellbeing

A tidy home, regular meals and support to get out and about can all contribute to better physical and emotional health.

If day-to-day tasks are becoming harder to manage, our enabling services can provide the right level of practical support.
